Engineer / Marketing manager by trade. Got into 3D modelling years ago by accident due to my job at that time. Long story short, used various tools before settling on 3D Max.
I've been fortunate to have had some work published over the years though the work was done for work and is not mine. Boring stuff actually (disk drive blow up diagrams, circuit-board layouts for online manuals, you get the drift).
Was an avid scale modeller but it became too expensive and took up too much room. Moving to CG models gave me an outlet for creating without the reoccurring cost and need to have room!
So, yeah, I like Star Trek and most of my displayed stuff in 3D is Trek related. I also have a fascination for fractal art but get impatient with the tools that are out there. I've become a big fan of AI generators and use almost exclusively Midjourney.
Thank you for the watch, and from a fellow engineer! Loving your work as well, so have returned the favor. At the moment I'm engaged in working on a technical project for a fictional space freighter which I created in 1979-1980. I'm also looking for a 3D artist.
thanks for watching :)
